Jamie John

Jamie was born in Great Yarmouth. His father was an actor and it wasn't long before Jamie followed in his footsteps up the ladder of show business.

He trained as a performing arts student at a private school in Great Yarmouth and attended drama workshops and singing lessons at his local stage school. Taking drama and dance at GCSE level pushed Jamie even further. Jamie can also horse-ride and rollerblade.

His training which also included backstage lead him to performances such as Scrooge, Great Balls of Fire, Lion King, Christmas Carol and Fame.

Jamie was please to have appeared as a Goblin in the very last Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows released in July 2011.

Christmas pantomimes soon beckoned Jamie and it wasn’t long before Jamie was in Mother Goose and The Frog Prince. With gents across the country soon recognising Jamie’s talents he was soon cast for Snow White  at The New Victoria Theatre, Woking, Billingham Forum, The Regent Theatre Ipswich and Blackpool Grand. With every major show comes celebrities and Jamie can list but a few he has worked with such as Ruth Madock, Tony Scannel, Cannon and Ball, The Grumbleweeds, and Stu Francis.

Jamie’s television debut was Little Britain (Christmas Special) working with Matt Lucas and David Williams.

Jamie John has an alter-ego, Miss DQ, and performs as part of a tall-small drag act with his friend Lee.

Jamie was one of the seven stars in 7 Dwarves a documentary for Channel 4. He was followed for 8 weeks whilst in the panto in Woking.
